Finding information and data

At university, as you are studying a subject in detail to be qualified enough to get a job in that area once you graduate: you have to learn all about that subject and you have to know the latest developments in your field. Therefore, you will need the skills to effectively find and use current information and data.

As part of this, you will be doing wider reading, reading critically around the subject area at a deeper level. You will be assessed on your ability to find and use good quality information and data sources; this is also an employability skill which you will need in the real world.

For your wider reading, explore our journals and databases in addition to books in our Library Search(opens in new tab) engine. Try our AI powered Research Assistant as your starting point in Library Search. Explore our Resources section for more information.
